BLACK NOIS 2025

Hey everyone!

Thank you for tuning into Black Noise in 2025! This year has been jampacked with Black Noise moments, so before it’s over, we wanted to give you a recap and let you know what we’ve got coming up!

What We Achieved

In March, Black Noise began its journey into comedy theater with YO WTF? LIVE! This show followed the rise of Mayor Coon Gordon, a cop turned politician turned influencer inspired by a mayor of a real city (which will remain unnamed…). And in November, we put up  YO WTF Is Apocalypse? Raising the stakes and the consciousness of BN commentary. We were also happy to produce a Howie & Friends stand up show at The PIT Annex in July!

Black Noise was featured at seven film festivals: BALANCES returned to festivals at the Serbest Film Festival. WHITE NOISE was selected by East Village NY Film Festival, Indie Short Fest, Dumbo Film Festival and the Big Apple Film Festival. The Philosophy of A College Dropout premiered at the Chelsea Film Festival winning both the Audience Award and Best Indie Episodic before appearing at the NY Cineverse Festival as well!

And finally, over the summer, we launched our social media pages with weekly Friday posts we call the BN Vault. Along with this series, these pages have become the hub for all things Black Noise, so make sure to follow them if you haven’t! (Link below)

What To Expect

We’re very proud of our achievements in 2025 and we’ll be very proud to build on them next year! We’ll start strong with the release of YO WTF Is The Apocalypse? On our YouTube channel with a sketch every week leading up to the release of the entire episode (including new sketches where Jared Sterling works at Slice of U)! We’ll also continue our comedy theater presence with three more YO WTF? episodes and maybe a stand up show or two sprinkled in!

We also plan on making more video content directly for our socials and releasing long awaited projects like The Philosophy of A College Dropout and OVERTIME! We’ll keep you updated throughout the year with quarterly blog posts from here on out!

What We’re Here For

We made Black Noise a few years back with two goals:

For our collaborators, we want to make a collaborative space for limitless creativity where artists can create strong work that’s authentic to their perspective.

For our audience, we want to create entertaining stories that make people think critically about our world and inspire them to make it a better place.

2025 gave us more opportunities than ever before to achieve these goals and for every year that follows we hope to achieve them again and again on bigger and bigger stages.

We’ll end this post and this year with our mission statement that serves as the guiding light on every goal and project we pursue:

Black Noise –

1) Noise where the dominant energy  is zero in all frequencies.  Silence.

2) A multimedia production company creating unconventional art by and for the underrepresented — the sound that some may hear as silence.

We work to create art that is…

  • Unconventional

  • Captivating

  • Provides satire and/or social commentary

  • Highlights the experiences of underrepresented communities

  • And leaves all artists satisfied

Our goal is to inspire people to create a change, internally and externally. Building a community through each other. Black Noise is family, love, and art.

Best,

Black Noise Team
